Green Maintenance

We made a belated start of the end of season Green renovations today. The Bowling Green was triple deep scarified this morning in an attempt to reduce the build up of thatch. This resulted in 18 plus dumpy bags being ferried to the recycling centre. In the afternoon Ian our contractor deep hollow cored the Green, this resulted in the best part of 4 or 5 tons of cores being gathered and barrowed off. I'm sure the willing band of volunteers will all sleep well tonight after this serious exercise.

A huge thank you to all today's volunteers, it is this generosity of spirit that makes our Club so special and also help keeping costs down.
